Chania is a must see, the city is the old capital of Crete.
At the Coasts of Chania there's a lot of smaller beaches, inside the City of Chania there is a nice habour area with a lot of bars, restarants and café's however the price level are higher than in Kalives. In the old part of the city there is a bazar like area with a lot of small shops, they are open all day and a lot of them also in the evening. There are also more modern shopping areas in the newer part of the city whit a variety of shops. Going to Chania is easy if you have rented a car, however there is a bus route from Kalives to Chania, and finally a taxi is rather cheap - approx EUR 20-25 from Kalives to Chania. Order a local Kalives Taxi they are friendly and cheap.
